Standard for aerated concrete blocks
2023-02-27
1. Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, product quality instructions, stacking and transportation of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks.
This standard is applicable to autoclaved aerated concrete blocks (hereinafter referred to as blocks) used for walls and thermal insulation of civil and industrial buildings.
2. Reference standards
The following standards contain provisions that, through reference in this standard, constitute provisions of this standard. At the time of publication of this standard, all versions shown are valid.
GB9196-88 Standard for Control of Radioactive Substances in Building Materials Products Mixed with Industrial Wastes
GB10294-88 Thermal insulation materials - Determination of steady-state thermal resistance and related characteristics - Protective hot plate method
GB/T11969-1997 General rules for performance test methods of aerated concrete
GB/T11970-1997 Test method for bulk density, moisture content and water absorption of aerated concrete
GB/T11971-1997 Test methods for mechanical properties of aerated concrete
GB/T11972-1997 Test method for drying shrinkage of aerated concrete
GB/T11973-1997 Test method for frost resistance of aerated concrete
JC/T790-85 (96) Terminology of bricks and blocks
3. Product classification
3.1 Specification:
3.1.1 See Table 1 for the specifications and dimensions of blocks.
3.1.2 If the purchaser needs other specifications, it can negotiate with the manufacturer to determine.
3.2 Blocks shall be graded according to compressive strength and bulk density.
There are seven strength levels: A1.0, A2.0, A2.5, A3.5, A5.0, A7.5 and A10.
There are six levels of bulk density: B03, B04, B05, B06, B07 and B08.
3.3 Blocks are divided into three grades according to size deviation, appearance quality, bulk density and compressive strength: excellent products (A), first-class products (B) and qualified products (C).
3.4 Marking of block products:
3.4.1 Mark according to the product name (code ACB), strength level, bulk density level, specification size, product grade and standard number.
Table 1 Specification and dimension of block
3.4.2 Marking example
The strength grade is A3.5, the bulk density grade is B05, the superior product, and the size is 600mm × 200mm × 250mm autoclaved aerated concrete block marked as:
ACB A3.5 B05 600 × two hundred × 250A GB11968
4 Technical requirements
4.1 The allowable size deviation and appearance of the block shall comply with the provisions in Table 2
4.2 The compressive strength of the block shall comply with the provisions in Table 3
4.3 The strength grade of the block shall comply with the provisions of Table 4
4.4 The dry bulk density of the block shall comply with the provisions of Table 5
4.5 The dry shrinkage, frost resistance and thermal conductivity (dry state) of the block shall comply with the provisions of Table 6.
4.6 When industrial waste slag is mixed as raw material, the radioactive substances contained shall comply with the provisions of GB9196.

5 Inspection method
5.1 Dimension and appearance inspection method
5.1.1 Measuring tools: use steel ruler and steel tape with a minimum scale of 1mm.
5.1.2 Dimension measurement: measure the length, height and width at the ends of the two corresponding surfaces, and measure two dimensions each (see Figure 1).
5.1.3 Missing edges and corners: number of missing edges and corners, visual inspection: measure the projected dimensions of the damaged part of the block in three directions of length, width and height (see Figure 2).
