Application of jadeite powder
1. Used in fluorite powder of metallurgical industry, containing halogen element F, can reduce the melting point of refractory materials, promote slag flow, make slag and metal separate well, desulfurize and dephosphorize during smelting, and enhance the calcinability and tensile strength of metal. Therefore, as a flux, it is widely used in iron and steel smelting, ferroalloy production, iron melting process and nonferrous metal smelting. High-quality acid-grade fluorite is also used to produce high-quality special steel and special alloy steel in electric furnace, and a small part is used as casting agent in iron and steel casting industry. After crushing and grinding of raw ore, acidic fluorite powder is recovered by flotation. The content of calcium fluoride in fluorite powder for smelting is generally greater than 65%, and there are also certain requirements for the main impurity silicon dioxide, and there are strict restrictions on sulfur and phosphorus.
2. Fluorite powder used in chemical industry is used to produce hydrofluoric acid. The chemical reaction equation is as follows: CaF2+H2SO4=CaSO4+2HF ↑ Hydrofluoric acid is produced by the reaction of acid-grade fluorite (fluorite concentrate) with sulfuric acid in a heating furnace or tank, which is divided into anhydrous hydrofluoric acid and aqueous hydrofluoric acid, which are colorless liquids, volatile, strong irritating odor and strong corrosivity, and are key raw materials for the production of various organic and inorganic fluorides and fluorine elements. In the chemicalbook aluminum industry, hydrofluoric acid is used to produce aluminum fluoride, artificial cryolite, sodium fluoride and magnesium fluoride; In the aerospace industry, hydrofluoric acid is mainly used to produce jet liquid propellant and missile jet fuel propellant; In the atomic energy industry, hydrofluoric acid is mainly used to produce UF4, and then fluorinated to produce UF6. 235U is separated by gas diffusion or gas centrifugation.
3. Cement production: fluorite powder added as mineralizer in cement production can reduce the sintering temperature of furnace charge, reduce fuel consumption, enhance the liquid viscosity of clinker during sintering, and promote the formation of tricalcium silicate. The amount of fluorite powder added in cement production is generally 4%~5% to 0.8%~1%. The cement industry has no strict requirements on the quality of fluorite. Generally, the content of CaF2 is more than 40%, and the requirements for impurity content are not specified.
